Our History
Craig Muennink of Muennink Grain Merchandising is a third-generation business owner. Craig began working for his Grandfather, Russell Chapman, at the age of 12 at Chapman Grain in Hondo, Texas. He worked after school and weekends all throughout his high school and college days.
In 1987, Craig began working full time for the family-owned business, waiting on customers, handling maintenance of the machinery and vehicles, and driving grain trucks. Craig was instrumental in building the La Coste office into a full service operation, which he then managed; handling feed, grain, chemicals and fertilizer products.
When Craig’s dad passed away in 1999, Craig took over the business and it became known as Muennink Grain Merchandising, LLC. Today Muennink Grain Merchandising services the local community by selling and applying fertilizer and buying and selling all grains from local and surrounding farmers.
